Storm Internet - "Flowerssimply's View"

"One thing that has REALLY impressed me about Storm Internet is their "can do" approach. I recently bought a SSL certificate - not something many other companies even allow or offer - but not only could I have one, Storm actively worked with me to acquire and install it. Also, Storm have pro-actively configured DNS settings to make the site/service easier to use.

I've never had this level of support or assistance from any other hosting company large or small. The packages are incredible value for money. On my experiences so far, I would recommend Storm as a viable, business web site hosting company."
UC Group :: Latest News - "Flowerssimply praises 'Secure Trading' services"

Earlier this year Marie set up Flowerssimply, an online flower company she launched after she identified that none of the large online flower companies or high street retailers provided a Welsh language version of their flower websites. The main problem came when she wanted to set up payments online.

Marie said: "I can usually pick things up very quickly however I really struggled with this area as I had never dealt with payments online before. It was all full of jargon merchants, bureaus, acquiring banks, PSP's - help! Firstly I looked to the banks as the obvious place to go but they ranged from unapproachable to inefficient. I don't think they understood the word 'customer'. The charges differed completely and a lot of them were hidden!

We signed to a smaller payment service provider and paid a joining fee, but customer service was unheard of and you can't even ring them. Both shopping cart integration processes were not fully customisable as promised.

Eventually we went to SecureTrading who were on a panel of PSPs provided by Lloyds TSB. We had originally been put off because of the upfront monthly payment for the bank and PSP but this has actually resulted in a better commercial deal for us. We wish we had started with SecureTrading first as they have made it easy for us and given us loads of support. They are accessible 24 hours a day by phone and I can now relax and concentrate on what I do best provide fantastic flowers."

"Bag Yourself a Bargain with Valentine’s Day Red Roses from Flowerssimply"

Flowerssimply one of the newest UK ecommerce flower web sites has launched a special purchase Red Rose bouquet for Valentine’s Day. The ‘Passion Roses’ bouquet only £33 delivered contains 10 beautiful red roses, different foliages and comes in its own stylish vase.

Flowerssimply’s owner Marie Vahey says "There is tremendous competition around Valentine’s Day and we want to offer our different customers Red Roses within their budget. The ‘Passion Roses’ red rose bouquet is excellent value as the price already includes delivery and the bouquet comes in its own vase. How many times have you found yourself scrabbling around for one?! The price of red roses from the Dutch auctions soar around Valentine’s Day and one way to fix the price is to order in advance. So the cut off date for orders of our ‘Passion Red Rose’ bouquet is 2.30pm on 11 February assuming we haven’t sold out by then!"

One of Flowerssimply’s customers Martin from Bedfordshire quotes "This is brilliant value I have looked around and although some red roses look less expensive when you get to checkout there is a hefty delivery charge and they don’t include a vase like the Flowerssimply’s red roses. I would definitely buy from this company again not just because of the flowers but because their site is so simple to use and they have large images so you can see what you are buying"

Flowerssimply launched in September 2007, is the first large ecommerce flower website to offer a Welsh as well as English version of its site.
"Flowerssimply yn lansio gwefan flodau e-fasnach Gymraeg gyntaf"

Flowerssimply/cymraeg wedi lansio’r wefan flodau e-fasnach fawr gyntaf yn Gymraeg ac yn Saesneg.

Mae Flowerssimply, y cwmni blodau ar-lein newydd ei lansio a sefydlwyd gan gyn swyddog marchnata Guinness, Marie Vahey heddiw wedi lansio’r wefan flodau e-fasnach fawr gyntaf yn Gymraeg ac yn Saesneg. Sylwodd Flowerssimply, a oedd â’r nod o lansio gwefan sy’n glir, yn syml ac yn hawdd, nad oedd gan y cwmnïau gwerthu blodau ar-lein mawr na’r manwerthwyr stryd fawr, fersiwn Gymraeg o’u gwefannau blodau.

Wrth siarad ynghylch y lansiad, meddai perchennog Flowerssimlpy, Marie Vahey: "Wedi symud i Barc Cenedlaethol Eryri ddwy flynedd yn ôl ac yn dwlu ar flodau, ynghyd â chefndir mewn marchnata a phartner sy’n ymgynghorydd TG, roedd lansio cwmni blodau ar-lein yn ymddangos fel y peth naturiol i’w wneud. Roeddwn am i’r wefan fod yn wahanol felly roeddwn am ei chadw’n syml ac mor glir â phosibl gyda delweddau mawr o ansawdd uchel fel y gall pobl weld yn hawdd beth maent yn ei brynu. Yn byw mewn ardal lle mae’r Gymraeg yn iaith gyntaf, roedd gweld nad oedd gan gwmnïau blodau mawr wefannau Cymraeg yn fy synnu, felly penderfynais fod y cyntaf i ddarparu un!"

Yn ôl Shirley Jones "Uwch Swyddog Gwybodaeth Busnes Llygad Busnes, a ddarparodd gefnogaeth wrth sefydlu Flowerssimply "mae’n wych gweld o ddefnyddio entrepreneuriaeth a dawn naturiol y gellir gweithredu busnes sydd â chymaint o gwmpas a galw amdano o leoliad gwledig a hardd!"

Cefnogwyd y cwmni gan Gyngor Gwynedd, Menter Môn a Bwrdd yr Iaith Gymraeg hefyd. Bydd Flowerssimply yn dosbarthu blodau ar yr un diwrnod drwy werthwyr blodau lleol ledled Cymru, gweddill y DU ac yn rhyngwladol.

"First Welsh Language Flower Site Launched by Flowerssimply!"

Flowerssimply the newly launched online flower company set up by ex Guinness marketer Marie Vahey has today launched the first large ecommerce flower site in Welsh as well as English.

Flowerssimply whose objective was to launch a site that was clear, simple and uncomplicated identified that none of the large online relay flower companies or high street retailers provided a Welsh language version of their flower websites.

Commenting on the launch, Marie Vahey Flowerssimply’s owner said: "Having moved to Snowdonia National Park two years ago and with a love of flowers, a background in marketing and a partner who is an IT consultant, launching an online flower company seemed a natural thing to do. I wanted the site to be different so I removed all the clutter and made it as clear as possible with large, high quality images so that people can see what they are buying easily. Living in an area where Welsh is the first language, the fact that none of the large flower companies had Welsh language websites amazed me so I decided I wanted to be the first to provide one!"

Shirley Jones - Senior Business Information Officer from Business Eye who has provided start up support to Flowerssimply stated "it’s great to see that with entrepreneurship and flair a business with so much scope & demand can be run from such a scenic, rural location!"

The company has also been assisted by Gwynedd Council, Mentor Môn and the Welsh Language Board. Flowerssimply will be providing same day delivery of flowers through local florists across Wales and across the rest of the UK.
